What is Denial of Inventory?

Denial of inventory is when a malicious user selects an item under the ruse to purchase it. The user holds the item in their inventory, with the intent to hold onto it, and not allow the vendor to sell it to other potential customers. Threat actors use this practice, generally with programmed and automated bots, to disrupt an eCommerce company’s ability to do business with its customers and have positive cash flow.
